Dad

I really love this tattered, grainy photo of my Dad feeding me farex for the first time. They did things a bit differently back then. I was only 9 1/2 weeks old in this pic! By the look on my face I am not enjoying it too much either......LOL

Thanks for sharing my stuff....

Christmas Scraplift

Nat's challenge this week at TBSS was to scraplift anyone. I chose to scraplift a lady named Alana Steadman. Her Christmas layout in this month's Scrapbooking Memories caught my eye immediately...

Here was my take on her layout

Precious Angels

I just had to scrap this photo of my two sleeping angels. Reminds me how special they are and how adorable my babies are when they are sleeping. Even when they get bigger!....LOL

I have used the gorgeous Little Yellow Bicycle Medallion Paper mounted on a clear page for my background and handcut the sweet flowers from Basic Grey Sultry Papers. I love the big flower from Prima's The French Can-Ection range.

See you all soon...

The Duck

I couldn't resist scrapping the duck that came to visit my house one day. Flew right in and walked up to the front door! I reckon he would have come in if we had have let him.......LOL
For this layout I have used Prima Papers and used Kath's sketch challenge at TBSS for the layout.
My take on the sketch

LOVE my stash!

I just had to share a couple of pics with you. It was like Christmas the other day at my house when my DT pack from TBSS arrived (Thanks Shell). I had also ordered a few goodies myself and there was a few suprises thrown in as well!

My DT pack was the gorgeous Glitzmas range from SEI. This is a beautiful Christmas range and I couldn't help but play with it straight away. I took on Nat's Christmas card challenge this week at TBSS and did up a quick card to add to my pile....

Here's a pic of the Glitzmas stuff (the ring-in on the bottom left is a Medallion die-cut paper from Little Yellow Bicycle)...

This is the quickie card I did...

And some stuff to add to my stash. Lots of papers and Kaiser bling and pearls!....

Thanks for indulging me!.....LOL

Thank You

Oh wow look what I got. My very first blog award!

Thank you to Nat @ Nat's Creative Chaos

I also have the honour to pass this award on so keep an eye on your email inbox!

A Very Fitting Photo

Kirsti's quote challenge at TBSS last week was a cracker "Big Trouble Comes In Cute Packages". I had the perfect photo for this challenge. Jake was a handful when he was little and this photo was take at DreamWorld in 2000.

I have been doing quite a few OTP's and projects for Christmas but I can't put them on here yet in case anyone is watching......LOL

I promise to upload all of them AFTER they have been handed out as presents!

Thanks for looking.......hugs

Me @ Kindy

This is a photo of me when I was little and cute!....LOL. Mum sent a few photos up with my sister when she came to visit. This is Kath's sketch challenge last week at TBSS. All I have done is flipped the sketch over to suit the photo. I have also posted Kath's original sketch underneath. Lovely inspiration, thanks Kath.
This is my take on Kath's sketch:

A Twist On A Quote

Ok so this was just an excuse to use a piccie of my way too cute nephew Cordell, but I put a twist on Kirsti's quote challenge ("It's not the journey but the destination that matters") last week at TBSS. I had a go at another digi layout and came out with this! :

Thanks for coming. See ya soon.....

Well I Got One Done!

Last weeks cybercrop at TBSS was a bit of a disaster for me....LOL. I had a house full of visitors and I only managed to get one of the challenges done. Oh well, one is better than none!
Here is my take on Kirsti's Cybercrop Challenge. The theme was Silly Season so Kirsti asked everyone to use a product, brand, technique, starting with every letter of the word Christmas. This was a lot of fun, thanks Kirsti!
My layout included:

C = chipboard / cardstock
H = hinge / house
R = roses/ rub-ons
I = ink
S = stamping
T = tulle
M = mulberry rose leaves
A = antique / aging
S = scallops

See you soon...

A Layout Of You

For Nat's challenge this week at TBSS I decided to do a layout of my oldest son Nick who is going to be a parent for the first time next year. There are so many things I want to share with him so I started with this layout!

Well Worth The Wait!

Well my gorgeous sister Jenna and very spunky nephew Cordell finally made it here.
I managed to drive all on my own to the airport, I found a carpark, the plane wasn't late and apparantly Cordell behaved like a perfect little gentleman on the flight. I got hugs and kisses straight away. Perfect!

and then......

They "lost" Cordell's car seat and pram! Tell me please, how do you misplace something that size? To cut a long, pathetic story short, the pram and the car seat were still in Darwin.

Ok problem! I am about to venture out into very unpredictable Sydney traffic, coming into peak hour, carrying very precious cargo and no car seat!

They find a 'loaner' for us that frankly, I am pretty sure is not even legal anymore and eventually we do make it home and yes we did catch the peak traffic (because we were at the airport an hour longer than we should have been)!

But they are here and I have already taken heaps of photos, bathed him, changed him, rocked him to sleep, carried him around the shops (note we still did not have a pram. That and the car seat were eventually couriered to us this afternoon), cuddled and kissed him more than I thought was humanly possible. He is sooo gorgeous and a very, very good baby.

My sister and I sat up until about 1.30 in the morning just chatting away about everything! I have given her a tour of TBSS and given her all the layouts I have done for her album. She has been on TBSS and read the posts welcoming her and insisted she had to answer!

Anyway that's the story so far! Back soon with more I'm sure....

No Sleep, No Worries!

OK I managed to get all of about 3 minutes of sleep last night 'cause guess what? In just....

4 Hours & 15 Minutes

I'm gonna be kissing this gorgeous face!
sooooo excited......

Sketch Challenge & Random Challenge

I combined Kath's sketch challenge with my own random challenge this week.

Kath's sketch worked really well with the leaves I handcut for my Halloween themed / Black, purple, orange challenge.

Here is my take on these challenges combined and Kath's original sketch underneath.

Back soon.....

A Combined Effort!

For Nat's Challenge this week, she asked everybody for suggestions on what to put in her challenge and this is the list that came up.

your item must include:
8 buttons
2 arrows
something blue
some metal
chipboard
no patterned paper
&
more than one photo

What a great combination of ideas from everyone.
Here is my take on this challenge!

Thanks for looking!

A Woman Who Has Influenced Me

This was Kirsti's Challenge for this week at TBSS and the first person that came to mind was my beautiful Mum. I have a lot of personal journaling I will add to this layout later on.....

See you all soon!
