August CyberCrop @ TBSS

Oh what a blast we had Friday night for the August CyberCrop at TBSS. There was heaps of games including some new ones and some awesome challenges put out by the DT girls.

To make it even more interesting, us DT girls took over the CyberCrop and arranged everything without Shell's knowledge. She got the chance to have a weekend off and able to play some of the games and take on some of the challenges.

The funniest game is the Baby Photo game! We posted up 7 baby photos and asked everyone to guess which photo belonged to the 6 team members of TBSS. Yep you counted right! There is an extra photo thrown in that belongs to what we are calling "The Google Baby".
I will post some of the challenges after the weekend!!!
Ok off to start another cc challenge...LOL

A layout or 2!

Here's a couple of layouts I have created for last weeks challenges at TBSS.

This layout was for Kirsti's quote challenge. We had to scrap one of our favourite quotes and this one fitted my 14 year old son Jake so well. Such a difficult age for everybody!!!!

The quote reads "It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are" ~ E.E. Cummings

This layout was for Nat's challenge to use die-cuts, the colour blue, flowers and chipboard alphabet or embellishments. Bit of a crooked photo this one, but you get the idea....LOL

Bye Bye Limpicks!

Ohhh! So sad to see the Olympics are over. I love when the olympics are on. I am a huge Aussie Patriot and I love it even better when the Underdog wins!!! I have been known to get shushed in my house 'cause I am cheering too loud...lol. So now I have to wait another 4 years for the London Olympics.....So until next time...Aussie Aussie Aussie oi oi oi.

Warm Me Up!

My Random Challenge for this week at TBSS was to scrap something that makes me feel warm. Little bit over all the cold weather so wanted everyone to create something that made me feel warmer. I left it fairly open. It could be a warm photo, warm title or even warm colours. This was my layout for my "Warm" challenge...

Scraplift Take 2

I had a lot of fun with Nat's Scraplift Challenge a couple of weeks. So much fun I decided to go back and do another one of the original layout I had chosen. This layout belonged to Nat herself. She is such a talented scrapper, who has a beautiful style and I get so much inspiration from every single one of her layouts. Check out her blog at http://nat9248.blogspot.com/to see more of her gorgeous work or pop into TBSS and browse through the gallery.

Bling Bling

Monday's challenge from Nat at TBSS was all about bling. The layout also had to include handcutting, hand drawn doodling and handwritten journaling. I did what was only the second layout I have done of my angel girl, Kayla.

A Gift

I have started working on a few pages for an album to give to my sister. She is not a scrapbooker so I thought I would send it down to her with a few layouts to start with and then add to it whenever I got some new photos of my gorgeous nephew! These two layouts will be in the first lot I send to her.

Another Excellent Week

Monday Nat came up with a pretty awesome Challenge. The chance to scraplift anyone's work.

I chose to scraplift Ingrid G from Scrapbook.com. Her work is really awesome and she turned out to be a pretty popular choice!!! I also used this gorgeous photo of my nephew Cordell to use Kirsti's quote challenge " A child is the greatest gift, the ultimate blessing" ~ Emily Laughton.

For Kath's sketch challenge on Tuesday I created this layout of my two youngest boys, in a rare moment of stillness.....lol. Photo was taken on New Years Eve at the Opera House.

Wednesday was the day for Kirsti's Quote/Title challenge and it was a ripper! Scrap what makes you happy. I looked a little further than the normal kids, husband, celebrations, etc., etc. I looked for a simple everyday thing that made me happy. Here is the layout I came up with!

My random challenge on Thursday was dedicated to my enjoyment of the Olympics. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, oi, oi, oi. It was a colour challenge so the project had to be one of the following colour combinations:

Green & Gold

Red, White & Blue

Book Of Me @ TBSS

Here is another layout I completed for the Book Of Me I am doing at TBSS

Here is my inspiration for the August Competition!

Happy Week @ TBSS

This week was full of excitement. On Tuesday night my sister gave birth to my beautiful new nephew Cordell Gerard. What a gorgeous big chubba bubba he is too! This is his first grainy, mobile phone photo, just moments after he was born!

Nat's challenge on Monday was a brilliant one. Lots of ribbon, stamping/inking, 1-3 photos, chipboard alphabet or embellishments. I decided to try making ribbon flowers for this layout. Problem was I was trying to do it while pacing the floor with the phone glued to my ear while my sister was in labour! Good recipe for frustration...LOL.

Another awesome sketch from Kath on Tuesday, so I used a photo of my spunky 8 year old son Brady. Being his normal, happy, loving self. For this layout I tried a technique fairly new to me called Stitch 'n' Rip and the beautiful SEI Poppy range of pp's & buttons.

My Thursday Random challenge was brads and eyelets, the more the merrier. I managed to use a total of 92 brads & eyelets and dared everyone to use more!!!
